Rainbow Love Filled Brighton Beach Club Wedding

“We LOVE them! You really are brilliant, aren’t you? There’s so much joy and love and colour just pouring out of them. The emotion of the ceremony, the expanse of the amazingly empty beach, the laughter of listening to speeches, the exuberance of the confetti, the whirl of the fire dancers – we couldn’t have asked for better photos. And you even managed to get EVERYONE smiling in that group shot. We want to frame everything. And we’ve only just begun! These are so, so special. You’re the best, Ms O’Malley. Lots of love P&H xxx”

I instantly fell in love with Harry and Pete the minute I met them to talk about their Brighton Beach Club Wedding! We had arranged to meet at their uber-cool central Brighton apartment to talk about their fabulous Brighton wedding plans and also for me to find out abit more about them and what makes them tick!

The guys meet at a party 25 years ago and loved travelling, cooking and eating! I knew we were going to get on like a house on fire! They were super keen to have a couple shoot as well before the big day – just so they could get used to the camera and more importantly because couple or engagement photoshoots are great fun!

I was super excited to hear all about their plans. They wanted a relaxed, fun and loving wedding day celebration with their friends and family, all coming together. Kinda – beach, come rainbow, come Indian fusian wedding. They had a bagpiper to welcome guests, an exchange of beautiful Indian flower garlands, there was a sign language interpreter for the ceremony, a wedding cake like no other celebrating their 25-year history, a magician, and the most amazing fireworks displace off a barge on Brighton Beach!! Plus one of the most hilarious, emotional and heartwarming ceremonies I have ever seen.

but first

Pete and Harry’s Stanmer Park Couple Photoshoot

I love engagement or couple shoots as they are such fun and totally relaxed. On a couples photoshoot we obviously have the luxury of more time compared to the excited heady rush of the actual wedding day. Couple shoots are such a fab way for me to get to know my couples and them know me. I can help put their minds at ease around their wedding photography and have a romantic blast in an amazingly gorgeous location! Pete and Harry loved their couple shoot at Stanmer Park and they even used one of the pix for their wedding invitations.

now on to the wedding….

25th Anniversary Wedding Plans

The guys had decided to get married on their 25th anniversary. What better place to celebrate 25 years and their wedding with a Brighton Beach Club Wedding. The Brighton Beach Club is situated….you got it, right on Brighton Beach!

Stonking Brighton Beach Club

This amazing venue looks and feels like you are on a ship. It has this lovely oceanic, nautical vibe – which is just so calming. Loads of space and options for the ceremony up the top with the amazing views and the reception and party down below, which is great as it opens out right onto the beach. The stonking Brighton Beach Club has such a stunning outlook – one of the best in Brighton I reckon. Views to West Pier, down the beach and the i360 and the stunningly beautiful Brighton turquoise sea.

With everything all taking place in the one venue made for a perfect and really relaxing day for guests. I’ve shot several weddings at the Brighton Beach Club now and can’t fault their quality delish food, tip-top friendly service and amazing venue.

Getting Ready at the Grand

The wedding day dawned one of those still, calm and perfect days of summer. I met the boys in their gorgeous suite at the Grand. (my fave hotel in Brighton). They were just putting on their Gresham Blake suits when I arrived and they looked amazing. Gorgeous Pete was beginning to get excited and Harry was looking handsome and calm. I was super impressed with their “crazily pretty mehndi” as described by Pete!

After a few candid photos it was time to leave and stroll down to the Brighton Beach Club. It is such a cool way to travel to your wedding – walk. and it is often the way with Brighton weddings. It gives time to take some deep breaths, get some air, stretch out and then you are there!

I was joined by the amazing Tinna Halls who was second shooter for the day with me. Tinna is a great photographer and got so many epic images for the day from alternative angles. I love working with Tinna, she thinks like me and is always looking for moments, reactions to capture. It was our second wedding together for the summer.

Harry and Pete entered the ceremony accompanied by their 8-year-old nieces. The lovely exchange of flower garlands was especially moving.

Humour, laughter and love filled the room as Harry and Pete made their vows to each other. Tears flowing freely.

Then outside to the top deck, for confetti, hugs, kisses and congratulations group photos, bubbles and canapes!

What a cake!

Sue Timpson of Brighton made the most amazing wedding cake for Harry and Pete. As the whole day was a celebration of their 25 years together and their wedding it contained symbols and images of the boys’ favourite things in life and a history of their time together. Topped off with the cutest two grooms. It was truly amazing!

Brighton Beach Gorgeous Setting for Couple Photos

Brighton beach front is always so lovely to wander around for couple photos. Even on a busy Saturday we could still find time and places away from the hub bub! Beautiful backdrops of the sea and the West Pier framed the shots and it was a lovely quiet half-hour for Harry and Pete to spend together – just alone. (well other than me of course!)

We got some lovely relaxed images before we headed back to the Beach Club for more bubbles, food and speeches.

Fabulous speeches and magic!

The folk at Brighton Beach Club laid on the most delicious spread and the magician did his magic making money appear amongst other amazing feats! Then it was time for some beautiful, emotional and funny speeches, which meant once again the tissues were out!

Golden Hour

We were lucky to have the most beautiful Brighton sunset in ages for a few more lovely couple photos and some hijinks from some guests!!

Fire Performance followed by fireworks!

Such a lovely, love filled day ended with a bang! The whole beach and Brighton stopped to watch the most impressive fire show and fireworks from a barge off the coast.

Wowzers! what a day and night! Thank you so much Pete and Harry for having me as your wedding photographer. I loved every minute of it!

If you are looking for a Brighton Beach Club wedding photographer who loves fire, beaches and LOVE I’d love to hear from you!
