Have a look through my three different options and see which one suits you the best. Whichever option you choose you can bet your bottom dollar you will get a set of awesome, natural stunning images that tell the story of your day. Nothing is set in stone though, so please sing out if you have any special requests or tweaks you'd like to make.
If you have over 60 guests attending your wedding, or you have important moments happening at the same time in different locations, it is worth considering a second shooter.
Second shooters get alternative angles during the day. They can take prep shots of one of you (mostly the groom), whilst I take prep shots of the other.
Also while I may be busy taking your group and couple portrait images with you, the second shooter will be getting great candids of your guests during the drinks reception. These images are priceless. Whatever the case - you don't want to miss them. Second shooters can also make sure we get all those little details and venue shots.
This doesn't mean we double up, it means we cover all of your wedding, the whole event, as many of the guests as is humanly possible and everything that is a happening. (As amazing as I am I can't be in two places at once)!!! This is vital during the ceremony when movement may be limited, or for bridal or groom prep.
I always use trusted, experienced second shooters who live by the same ethos as myself.
Engagment shoots, couple shoots or pre wedding shoots whatever you wish to call them are awesome fun. These 1-2 hour photoshoots in beautiful natural settings like beaches, woods, rivers, sunsets, or even urban cityscapes are just fab. We go for a little stroll, chat abit, laugh alot, and get an awesome set of images in the process. These shoots can be really romantic (even though I am the spare wheel!). Soon you will forget that I am even there!
Engagement shoots really do help make you feel more confident and relaxed in front of the camera.
They are an excellent opportunity for us to really get to know each other and jell before your big day. (Don't worry I am incredibly easy going and pretty awesome at helping you relax during the shoot).
As well as all of that you will get some stunning images to put in a frame, share on FB or even use on "save the date" cards.
I love these type of shoots, you will find them more relaxed than your wedding day!, you are actually more in the moment and not thinking of the million and one things you need to organise/do during your busy wedding day.
I can't recommend these shoots enough - they are golden! You can check out my engagment gallery here
First thing, get in touch and check my availability for the date of your wedding. We can also have a quick chat, skype or email. I can find out what you are planning and you can ask any questions that have popped up and let me know about any special requests you have. You can then decide whether I am the right photographer for you! I then require a 30% deposit to confirm the date for you. The balance of the payment is due three weeks before your big day.
Depending on when your wedding is (busy summer time or the less hectic winter months), I aim to have the images back to you, in your hot little hands, fully processed within four weeks. Often it is abit earlier than that though.
I am fully kitted out with two professional full frame Nikon D750s and I LOVE my babies! I use mainly 35mm and 85mm prime lenses for that authentic documentary style image. I have also got a super wide angle 14-24mm and 135mm zoom I have back up copies of my memory cards just to be on the safe side! In the evening I generally stick on my speedlite flash but power it right down so the images look natural and "unflash" like. My aim as your photographer is to blend in and be like a "fly on the wall" taking natural, unposed moments.
Well you may have picked up I LOVE to travel and the thought of a destination wedding does make me tingle with excitement! I frequently shoot weddings in New Zealand and Australia during the "downunder" wedding season. So shout out if you are getting married downunder Dec/Jan I may be able to slot your wedding date into my schedule at no extra travel cost. I am always up for shooting in London and the home counties (normal rates apply @ no extra travel cost). If you are getting married a little further afield in the UK or Europe I charge a bit extra to cover travel and accomodation expenses. All individually quoted please ask, its usually not much at all.
Some couples choose photographers that love taking lots of formal group shots, fine detail shots of just about everything and formal portrait shots of the couple that take about an hour to set up and do. Well if you are after that kind of photography I'm probably not the right fit for you, its just not my cup of tea! My thing and the way I shoot is to record the day in a less formal and more unposed kind of way. Au natural! Yes I can definitely shoot the kind of group shots to keep Great Aunt Gertrude at bay and to document all your lovely guests and family who attended. (Most couples choose to do about 4-5 group shots max). With regards your couple portraits I take these in a very relaxed, unposed way, with little instruction. I look more for fantastic environments or backdrops and you guys just be you. Enjoy the moment alone (well other than me clicking away!) and we'll get some lovely natural, beautiful images in about 15-20 mins.
Hmmmm well that sounds like a match made in heaven to me. I don't either! In fact my skin crawls when I have my photo taken. So I get you. My natural, unposed style will work wonders for you. Let me know if you feel a little self counscious and we can have a pre wedding couple shoot and I guarantee you will feel great and maybe even enjoy the experience. Better still I won't get you looking at the camera or putting your weight on your back leg...etc etc. I have ways and means of making you relax and laugh (and they don't involve alcohol!).
Yep, I am. As a full time professional wedding photographer I am insured for liabiltiy and indemnity insurance.
